Important Update!
We started in April this year intent on running a 3 month pilot, and nearly 8 months later it is time for us to pause and review what we've done, and how we can get better!
The demand for our service has been amazing, with over 70 households helped to reclaim or tidy their gardens in the Bridgwater area, but we know we have been too busy to always get back and do the regular maintenance that needs doing. We are working with the Somerset Micro-providers project to see if we can recruit some self-employed gardening companions to help with that and you should see the adverts before Christmas.
We have met some amazing and incredibly lovely people, not just those with gardens but from other organisations that have referred people to us and who have provided additional support for our service users - it has been an absolute pleasure and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.
Since our last post we have helped a lady with Rheumatoid Arthritis with a garden tidy, an elder lady clear brambles from her front garden, a lady with mobility issues with some tree pruning and bush trimming, a garden tidy-up for a landlord's visit, and other work as well.
We do have a couple of fence repairs to do and we have three large garden clearances outstanding that we need to fundraise for, so please watch out and share those posts if you can

Hoping you all have an amazing Christmas
