An Exciting New Partnership with Two Generations.
Two Generations is a social enterprise which promotes homesharing and Support in communities.
At Social Circles, our mission has always been to create meaningful connections and provide essential services to vulnerable individuals who live alone or are struggling. Today, we are thrilled to announce a new partnership that aligns perfectly with our values and expands the support we can offer to our community.
We have recently joined forces with Two Generations, a social enterprise that offers a unique and impactful homeshare service. Two Generations match people who live alone and have a spare room with younger people who can provide an overnight presence, companionship and some help with household chores like cooking, gardening, helping with pets or driving to appointments.
Homeshare is a great way to tackle loneliness, isolation and a host of other challenges faced by a growing, often unsupported, aging population. By creating bespoke matches, we are able to ensure lasting relationships that allow both the Householder and Homesharer to thrive together.
A couple of testimonials really proves how valuable the service is:
My mother in law is 97 and lives with Dementia. Having a sharer living with her has been absolutely brilliant. I know someone is in the house with her which has made such a big difference, I don't worry as much and I can relax more knowing Anna is there to flag any concerns. It’s not just about supporting the Householder, its support for the family too. Anna is very special and has helped my mother in law remain independent in her home, despite her Dementia. Homeshare is wonderful and I would always recommend it.
It’s been an excellent match - We compliment each other very well. It's great having someone around the house to help. You’ve done a very good job in the match, couldn't ask for better.
Social Circles and Two Generations hope to collaborate to promote homesharing in our communities, bringing attention to the benefits of these intergenerational connections. To ensure that those who participate in homesharing have access to the full range of support they may need we will be on hand to offer gardening and support in any way we can.
We believe that this partnership will strengthen our community, offering a richer, more connected living experience for everyone involved. As we move forward, we are excited to explore new ways to work together with Two Generations, and we are confident that this collaboration will have a positive impact on the lives of many.
